I bought a new '04 Nomad and have had zero problems with it. But really, I would hope so, you know? I'm very pleased with it, and wouldn't trade it for anything else. It fits my wife and I well, handles good, and rides even better.

Automatic motorcycle?

I've been around these bikes for a number of years and have seen Classics and Nomads with well over 100,000 miles on them that have had nothing more than normal maintenance and upkeep. There was one Classic that had a starter clutch failure within the first 100 miles, and one Nomad that had some rocker cover gasket weeping after 75,000. Kawasaki sent out a bulletin last year concerning a bad batch windshields. Some of them were cracking around the mounting holes, but Kawasaki is standing behind them and are replacing them at no cost to the customer.

At any rate, as I said, I'm extremely happy with mine and recommend it to anyone.

Anyone know where - or indeed IF! - I can buy a Valentino Rossi autobiography ?

shaft drive is a good way to go. good torque without having to change belts/chains. it only gets expensive when something breaks.

I would like to meet like minded people who are interested in Vintage motorcycles and live in New York city?

japanese motorcycles run forever. I've had plenty of Kawasaki's, but never a Vulcan. Shaft drive is good because it's sealed, requiring minimal maintenance, and there's no slack like a chain, so the torque is applied quicker. Should be a good ride for a long time.

I want to sell my YAMAHA RX100 (1994 make), Good condition. How much should I expect?

I agree with the others. A shaft on a big bike is the way to go. It adds weight over the belt and cuts down on some power to the ground but the kind of bike your talking about that is not an issue. I have had a BMW R1100RT for 7 years and have put over 60K on it. Its shaft driven and the only thing that I have done with it except for normal maintenance is about a dozen sets of tires and 2 sets of brakes. I wouldn't go back to a chain or a rubber band.
Good Riding

Whats cooler a Vespa Scooter or a Honda CBR?

Shaft drive is great. Absolutely zero driveline slack (compared to chain or belt). It took some getting used to when I got my first one. Jap bikes run forever.

how can I keep a helmets face shield from fogging?

Vulcans are good bikes. Shaft drive is nearly maintenance free.
As far as being "just as good as anything else", that becomes subjective. I like Hondas.
