You can debate this issue forever. Just look at what the pros and almost every amateur motocrosser is riding. The only 2 strokes I see at the track anymore are the minicycles. I think a lot of the freestyle guys may be on 2 strokes and also many fast woods riders prefer 2 strokes. I started racing motocross in the late 70's and of course always rode 2 strokes. I bought my first 4 stroke about a year ago (CRF250R) and I love it. The power delivery is so much smoother than a 2 stroke. The 2 stroke bike is cheaper to work on because there are less moving parts, but I'm never going back.How do you remove the baffle from a Micron delta + exhaust?

From a basic standpoint a 2 stroek is better. But with the advancments in technlogy, a 4 stroke is now able to produce more power than a 2 stroke.4 stroke engine

As far as the power you get from a certain cc engine 2-stroke...hands down! 4-stroke technology is making leaps and bounds though, many 4-strokes are coming into their own with the 2-strokes.
