can anyone tell me which tire front or back is the speedometer cable connects to?

For a beginner machine, I'd go with a 4-stroke, most hondas are, which also tend to be more reliable. A 2-stroke, like most suzukis, have alot more power in the lower rpm allowing easy wheelies. 2-strokes are generally used in races and competitions. So, if you just want to learn to ride go with a 4-stroke, if you want to learn to race go with a 2-stroke.

Honda ATV Repairs?

It depends on your states laws. Michigan, where I am, requires 50 cc and under for 6-12 year olds, 90cc for 12-16, and 16 and up for all larger displacements. I owned a Polaris Scambler 90 for my son. I woudl not buy one again. Lots of starter issues. Depending on the age and size of the kid, I liek the Yamaha Raptor 50, because it is physically large but lower powered and therefore gets you legal ( which is crucial if you intended ot ride on public lands). If you kid is small, the Suzuki is probably the best. I think the Honda TRX 90 is the best small one, but it is pull start only. Nothign wrong with the yamahas either, but the Honda design is more proven. If you kid is big enoughm and public land is not a factor, look at te Kawasaki Bayou 220 and Honda Recon.
