Has anybody had any problems with bricketts for petrol tanks in classic m/bikes?

You need to use a lead substitute in your fuel to avoid valve-seat recession. The FBHVC tested several, and the most easily available is Castrol Valvemaster which is available from Halfords. I use it in my 1980 Mazda Montrose which also does not accept unleaded fuel on its own.

your bike is borderline for running on unleaded fuel, most japs from about that year do run unleaded. i run my old italian bikes with a fuel cat in the tank, they cost £15 each and seem to work well, they are also endorsed by some very well known organisations. the tel no. for fuel cat is,01403:754173
