cbr 1000 motorcycle trouble starting please help?
my cold start-up procedure is to use full choke, start up, increase rpm's to 2000, and slowly push in the choke bit by bit until fully in. helps if u have a throttle lock. u only need 2x's over normal idle speed for a warm up, tho i prefer to keep it no higher than 1500 rpm's generally.which one is th best motorcycle in india to buy? it should b stylish?
Shouldn't be difficult, find the idle adjustment and turn it up a little. Will a motorcycle start with a kickstart without any battery in it? And will it stay running?
you should have adjustments at the carb(s). make sure the exhaust is tight too. if it leaks too much at the cylinder head it can cause problems with idle and running.why do some bikers wear only one spur on left boot?
there should be a idle screw on the carb that you can turn to raise the idling RPM.Turn up the idle. NOT the screws on the carbs, but the one on the linkage at the carb.
why does the chain keep getting loose on my dirt bike t/RR 90?
Next step: BUY A MANUAL! It's only $15.00!
XS400 1977 Yamaha runs on full choke... What do I do?
Use it's directions for all your adjustments and settings.
Nobody here mentioned synchronizing your carbs, did they?
Don't use directions from here, not even mine.
I would send you my old manual, but I can't find it.
You keep having problems with that bike and they are ALL related to each other.
Do motorcycle batteries recharge while you ride them?
The idle screw is in between the 2 carbs. It comes up from the bottom. The plate that the cables are attached to, the idle screw acts as a stop. Twist the throttle and look between the carbs to see what I'm talking about. Tighten the idle screw (clockwise) to raise the idle. When looking at the screw from the top of the carbs, you'll be looking at the screw while "it's" upside down. So looking at the screw from above you'll turn the screw counter clockwise. If this is to confusing (LOL), just play with the idle screw to get the best idle.
i have a moto guzzi v65, which will not rev above 4000 rpm on the road. any suggestions or links?
did he get it running?turn the idle screw up
If all of the above fails you then it is likely that your carbs are very dirty and your spark plugs are fouled.
buying exhaust for 1977 honda ct125?
Clean the plugs. Clean the carbs, set the carbs to factory specs, clean the fuel filter if it has one. Make sure your header is seated to the head ( prssure related stall). Check the choke if it has one. It should idle around 800-1000. 1500 is way too high. Get a manual, and it will give you al the settings..all of us who ride motorcycles are against the wall everytime we go out so why the divide?
You can adjust the carb a little bit till your RPMs stay up. Don't get it to high or it might cause the motor to mess up.More Questions & Answers ...
