"base">meaning the metal part on the bulb that goes into socket.
Dual Filament---"D" in BA20D = Dual
It's a sorta almost obsolete bulb for automotive/road use,,,since sealed-beam headlites got common..
Not actually obsolete,,just limited use these days.

the amperage draw is very little more for the 45w.but Lots brighter.

Without knowing the specifics of your electrical system,,
I wouldn't recommend trying a 60w bulb.
That's quite a bit of load on what's usually a very "lightweight" electrical system on scooters & small bikes.

Halogen bulbs are TUFF to find in USA,,,,Europe has 'em all over the place.
The expense & shipping time,,,is tuff.

I'd THINK the halogen would be your best light 'cuz of the colour.
Much better illumination and contrast,,,even at same 35 watts.
The plain 45watt is also a big boost in light.
You get the same color and appearance as normal,,,,but lots more RANGE/Distance of illumination.
You'll see BETTER with halogen,,
but FARTHER with the higher wattage,,45w vs stock 35w.
