Which other models have common engine to Honda FT 500?
Hi, i work in motorcycle sales and this is always a problem. The best motorcycle for you is a Honda XL125 Varadero.
It has a high seat height, its a big bike, and as its a Honda will give you no problems at all and it has great back up from a large dealer network.
Then when you wish to move up to a larger "cc" it will retain more of its original value giving you more to put towards your next bike.
GOOD LUCK.
None. You are destined to look like a monkey screwing a football.
Motorcycle rides north carolina?
You need at least a 600cc bike.
Where can I find whitewalls for my 1974 Honda CB550?
well I'm 5foot8 and i fit 0n a 250cc and it was a good learning bike for me and i bought a handlebar raising kitWhat is the ngk sparkplug bkr6es for?
Stay away from sport bikes. Even a 125 "cruiser" will look small with you on it. With their low seat heights, it'll be awkward at slow speeds and stops, when you have to put your feet down. Best bet would be an enduro (dual purpose - street/dirt). Because they have tall seat heights. Shop around at dealerships and sit on all the bikes. When you find something that you feel comfortable on, look for a used one for your first bike. You'll want to move up to something bigger (more cc's).Get a big bike.At 6'2" a 125 is way too small to start on.Riding is easy. There are always questions on here about starter bikes.Get a bike that you want to ride and ride it.Not a toy to start on.
Is a body frome 93 polaris storm the same dimensions has a 98 indy 500?
Something tall like a Yam Dt125R would do the trick.Any trail, enduro or supermotard style bike would be a good start. They are generally tall bikes, so will suit your frame better than most.
Check out the following examples (most of which have seat heights around 800mm-900mm) -
Honda Varadero 125
Sachs X-Road 125
Aprilia MX-125
Moto-Roma SMX-125
Derbi Senda SM-125
Yamaha XT-125X
Gas-Gas SM-125
AJP Supermotard 125
Darren your gonna look like a big goof on a 125. Get yourself on at least a 350. There isn't a big difference in size between the two.
The battery on bike was bought new last year. ho wlong does need to be charged?
crf 450How fast can the ducati 999 superkike go?
Aprilia Pegaso 125.twisted a has the right idea you can get some tall 125s the of road bikes would probs be the best .and the people that say buy a bigger engined bike are clueles . some 125s are as big or bigger than some 600 bikes u just dont get the speed ask on hear it is a good site for help and info www.125ccsportsbikes.com
Can you listen to headphones while riding a motocycle?
I'm also 6ft2". I had the same problem, I bought a cg125 you still look small but you can ues the controles ok even with size 12 feet. There are a couple of bigger bikes around but they weigh alot more which makes them slow. I've pased my test now so I can get a bike more my sizeHI i would think a Honda 125Zr is a descent size, it is a road bike, but is quite high as it is modelled on an off-road bike and is known to be a work-horse, give it a try for size also it looks great.
good luck
The Varadero 125 is popular because it looks like a bigger bike.
2006 R1 slip-on: Akrapovic vs Termignoni vs Ti-force?
There isn't one! I am also 6'2" and have never seen one that didnt look like a toy when I was on it.I would not suggest buying a bike that small, you will only grow out of it in a matter of weeks or months at the most.
Help finding fairings for honda cbr?
You can easily learn to ride on a bike that you can grow into and will work for you for years to come. The main issue is to not get to confident and ride outside your ability when on the larger more powerful bike.
I have a pocket bike and pull start having problems?
Get a bike you can grow with as you become a better rider and stay within you ability and you will have a long and fun riding experience. Also, before you saddle up I highly recommend a riding course at your local community college or Harley Davidson's Riders Edge course. Even experienced riders learn something at these courses...
Hi. I'm afraid you will alway look daft on a small bike like a 125. Take it from me, I know! I'm 6'4" and have just bought a Harley V-rod and still make it look like a moped. My mate has just taken and passed his test on a cb600 so unless you really want a small bike I would suggest you get something bigger and take the coureses that are on offer.
You could do your direct access on a 4 or 5 day intensive course then you wont need to worry about that - you will do your cbt one day and the remainder of the week you will be on a 500cc and you get your test at the end of the course - just make sure you do your theory test before you book the intensive das or you cant take your practical test - anyway after you have done the cbt you will be itching to get on a bigger bike - im just going to do my das and cant wait to get on my bigger bike (its all bought and polished for when i pass) hehe
