Question:
ok so i recently bought a honda scoopy 2004, from a reputable motorbike shop, it's virtually new, only done 3000km.
Dirt Bike Parts? I don't know the brand, maybe Kawasaki? I appreciate any help!?
anyway, so im riding it along... and all of a sudden, when i get up to about 50 or so... this horrid loud screeching sound happens... and so i stop the scooter, and every time i start it, the sound happens.. luckily i stopped outside the house of a guy who rode a motorcycle.. so he came and had a look at it, and said it could have been the gearbox, because it was coming from that area.. so.. he kicks the kickstart a couple of times, realising thats where it came from.. i turned it on, and the sound stopped... but whenever i rev up.. the sound happens again.... ..
Another Orange County Choppers question?
any ideas?

why is american chopper moving to TLC?
hi, it sounds like the nut on the clutch has come undone! the nut cant fall off because the kickstart casing holds it right on the end of the shaft.. DONT RIDE IT OR YOU WILL DAMAGE THE THREADS ON THE SHAFT! and then you wont be able to get the nut back on..make sure that when the nut is put back on that you use thread locking compound. and that it is done up tight. either with an impact driver or air gun..hope this helps?..regards steve..Good compression reading for Honda cr80?
Try repair manWhat is you favorite kind of motorcycle?
have you checked the Finnegan pin?Just hitting the sound barrier. You'll just have to punch through it.
it is actually belt driven and it sounds to me like your belt is slipping, are you in Europe? in the states the odometer reads in miles
and when you say 50 i am assuming 50kph?
but even 3000km or 2000 miles a belt may be worn out depending on the previous owner
the next guess would be the gear box, did you check the fluid level?
Im trying to sell my atv its a 04 honda 450r?
Remove the belt cover. Left side of engine going to the rear wheel. Check the drive belt for ware (don't worry, there's no oil in there). If you see a lot of black dust in the cover, that's from the belt waring down.De-glaze the clutch drive faces (the belt touches them) with a "scotch brite" pad.
