Is it possible to run a 03 r6 open headers w/cc inserts?

Question:
I have an 03 yamaha r6. I want to remove the slip on exhaust and just run the motorcycle like that. But since back pressure is needed and the bike is to loud i was wondering if you could use cc inserts without lossing to much power or damaging the engine? Or maye use some type of baffle. Any suggestions?

Noisey pipes?

unless u are always running close to, or completely wide open throttle, straight pipes are junk for street riding performance. they'd be good for the track only. look at the numbers on the dyno sheets. they will cause u to get targeted by ticket happy cops running excessively loud pipes. look around on some of these bike forums...more and more cities/localities are crackin down on excessively loud mc pipes. maybe u have deep enough pockets to afford the ticket and 'repairs', but i dont. i havent been bitched at once on the scoot because i have stock pipes. speed isnt my top priority and neither is having whiplash inducing take-off torque at lights either. my top priority is to keep an eye on these dumbphuck cager's.they will kill u, pipes wont.
