the well known 1% m/c clubs would be hells angels, bandito, pagans and the outlaws. even if u do bump into these guys, as long as u show respect, they wont bother u.
on the other hand, if they belive u are 'flying colors'...certain types of patchs on the back of ur leathers, they might approach aggressively and 'suggest' u remove ur colors. if u do, u wont have any problems, if u give them any lip, u'll have problems. 1%'er's has a code: taking on 1 is the same as taking on all. u dont just get in a fight with a 1%'er and think that's all it is. u'll soon meet the rest of his boys and u being a target.
I'm thinking of buying a Harley-Davidson.Does this sound like a good deal?
some newbie harley rider's think their all 'bad' just because they ride a harley, get lippy with a patch member, and wind up gettin put in the hospital from not showing respect.
there was an incident i read about on a 1%'er message board about 1 m/c club that was having problems with the local h.o.g. chapter. seems that some of the h.o.g. riders thought they were 'all that', wouldnt show respect, and the situation almost escalated into war between the two. the 1%'er's basically forced the local h.o.g. chapter to not wear the hog patch, or they would be engaged on sight.
dont take 1%'er's lightly. their not to be messed with.

The AMA (American Motorcycle Association) stated that 99% of the people at their events were god fearing and family oriented. The other 1%er were hard riding, hard partying, non mainstream type people. Thus the term 1%er was born.
