depends on what you are gonna use it for, and what size person you are. if you are gonna race it, or if you are a big dude, then 1" od and at least 095 wall. use chrome moly or shelby seamless tubing. you dont want it bending in the middle 1st time you hit rough streets.

what is the fastest bike?

Its alot of work, and the only thing you can build yourself is the frame. You'll have to buy the wheels, tires, engine, sprockets, cables, brakes, steering components, etc. etc. Save yourself alot of work and headache, find one on Ebay or some other source.
There are plenty on Ebaymotors, everything from backyard play Karts to full race karts.
