I think you're looking for cranking compression. However, with a new top end (and the 400EX's automatic decompressor), you won't get much of a reading with a psi gauge right now whether you did the rings right or wrong.

Here's the sequence on modern four stroke rings:
Top Groove: Chrome (lighest color edge) ring, with stamped markings facing up.
Middle Grove: Black ring. If it has markings, face them up.
Third Groove: Three piece oil ring (no top or bottom to any of these) Sandwich the corrugated (wavy) ring between the two thin rails. Ends of the corrugated ring need to butt, not overlap.

You should be certain that the rings are on right, before you run the engine. Call Wiesco, or have a good shop look for you. Ordinarily, there is a tiny dot or punch mark on top of the (compression) ring. Alternately, understand that the firing of the charge should force the ring out (against the cylinder wall), so some rings are built with a taper that makes the ring thinner on the inside diameter. The trick there is to put the tapered side up (toward the spark plug).
