What exactly does a rev box do for a YFZ450?

Question:
i just bought a 2007 yfz450 and my friend was talking about a rev box. I wanted to know what a rev box does for my quad? ive been looking into them and i found the big gun rev box which puts out about 700 more RPM's but then i found another one which can be set to put out 1000 rpm's or even 2000 rpm's, what would that do for my quad? will that many rpm's mess up my quad?

Does 1994 honda xr200r have electric start?

It is just a rev limiter with a higher rev limit than stock. If you are an A class racer it may be worth looking in to as long as you understand the damage that could possibly happen by over reving. Personally I don't see the benefit in adding it to a 450. I could see it on a 250 - 300 4 stroke, but generally you don't run 450s at the top of the RPM range.

Where can i find a 1960 Honda 250 scrambler?

It's an RPM limiter. They are designed to protect the engine from 'over revs', which will shut the motor down OR if you have changed it (ECM) due to mods. Failure to use the proper limiter will cause pre-mature engine blow out.
