They claim to buy perfectly functional bikes, take them apart, and then sell them in about 60 separate pieces. They even have videos and pictures of the original bikes their parts came off. Prices seem too good to be true in some cases.

Perfectly possible. Because of the price of new spares, most bikes are worth more in parts than as a wholeyou have to watch ebay, there are a lot of scammers out there, if the deal seems too good to be true you probably run in to a scammer.

The best way to tell is look at their feedback to see if it's good. I do the same thing with 3-wheelers on e-bay because I can find cheap running or non running bikes and they are worth more in parts because they aren't made anymore. This is a common business on e-bay now so as long as their feedback is good, go for the parts you need.All you need to do is check if they have recent positive feedback. I buy all the time, but I deal mostly in dirtbikes.
