TS125 Engine into a 01 TS50?

Question:
As the title I am look for a '87 (ish) TS 125 (air cooled) engine to put into my '01 TS 50, I know the frames are the same size so should I have any problems? Also other than the engine itself will I need to change anything else i.e. Carb etc. There should be plenty of room as the 2 stroke bottle has gone and the air box is going soon.

I have been a mechanic for a long time and it has been my experience that very very few motorcycle engines can swap straight over, cars yes bikes no. I certainly doubt that the 125 engine will bolt right in. You will probably have sprocket alignment problems and I doubt the exhaust pipe will fit properly either. If the ignition is electronic you will have to have all the components mounted and wired onto the 50 frame. You are getting into a huge project and when you are done it will just be an ill fitted mongrel bike that will probably ride and handle like crap. Repair the 50 or whatever you have to do to it and sell it, use the money towards a bigger bike. If you start cutting up the 50 it will end up being worth nothing.
