Question:
I can't believe it happened. I know everybody will do it at some point. I was riding in the canyons and as I was cornering a car was driving on the wrong side of the road! I had to bail and just slide into the dirt. Luckily nothing major happened to my bike except for a few scratches and a cracked windscreen.

Answers:

havent gone down yet...yet being the key word. never expect a cager to do 'the right thing'. if u had been straddling the white line going around the curve to begin with, u wouldnt have gone down. always assume a cage is gonna come across the corner on the wrong side.Which is best motorcycle among Honda, Yamaha?

how can i make my 2005 r6 faster?
When I got my first bike two years later, my husband brought it home for me. I was so excited that I got right on it and drove down the alley. In first gear.
Then he came and turned it around for me (hey, what can I say?) On the way back, I felt more confident, and drove it into SECOND gear (collective gasp!)
how to do proper burnouts on my activa?
I stopped it too hard on gravel and it started to go. Since this time it was MY bike I didn't want to just drop it. I ended up going down with the ship. No major damage except my ego and confidence. I came quite close to giving it up, but my husband talked me out of it, and I'm glad he did.

Except for a stupid gas station/kickstand incident, I haven't dropped one since (knock wood with all due respect to the fates who love to pounce on statements like these and kick me in my instant karma, amen).
Where to sign up for motorcycle racing classes?
yep on snow ice not a sole about untill you come off then bam they come out off the wood work "lol"but if its a bad one no one around at all for help
Oh Yea, I've fallen a few times never my fault. And I always get pissed off. First thing you do is check and make sure your bike is OK, then you worry about yourself. Then you fix it and get back on. Then hope like hell it doesn't happen again. I figure if I got up and still can ride then it wasn't to bad. I have very little feeling in my hips because of accidents but what the hell, I can still ride. It's all apart of the experience.
How many coats of paint for a motorcycle frame?
I used to take this 35mph curve at 80mph almost daily taking up both lanes. One day my luck ran out,a car was coming from the opposite direction. My bike was layed over to the point that the leftfootpeg was just starting to fold up.When I saw the car,I moved to the right as far as possible(left hand turn),then the front tire went off the edge of the road.It was a 1 to 2 inch drop,so the frame hit and I lost traction on the rear wheel,I knew it was time to bail.I dove left and stayed on the pavement and the bike flipped end over end, hitting a large pine tree. The bike was totaled.I only scraped up my elbows and scratched my helmet all to hell.A car coming behind me damn near ran over me.Just one of several near death expieriences.Been riding for 32 yrs.Why do most motorcyclists not drive with dipped headlights during the day.?
Yes, with the help of a deer. Went down hard and was stuck under the cycle. The deer, about a ten pointer just ran away. Hobbled around for a couple of weeks refusing to go to the doctor. Bruised ribs, ankle problems and a couple of toes were the worst of it. This happened the end of October two years ago. New paint and several new parts added to the cycle and I was riding by spring. What do you think of the Montesa 4RT 2006?

where can u get a thumpstar gearbox but cheap and not from over seas?
First time I went down was the first year I was riding (age 16) on my Moped back in 1977...it was a rainy day, I caught the RED Light at the signal at the wrong time, I was going too fast, I tried to stop and ended up sliding sideways into the wet intersection. I was not hurt, just embarrassed. 26 years later I had my first major accident on a motorcycle....after I lost my job I went riding up in the mountains with some friends. I threw caution to the wind that day, drank a beer, smoked a blunt, and had my first major accident for my trouble. I deserved what I got for being so stupid. Yes I still ride to this day, and I will NEVER (did you hear me?)NEVER give it up!
Can anyone tell me what BAT stood for re pre war Bat Motorcycles please?
Haven't been down on a road bike yet. Only dirt bikes.pls how can i buy a honda cbr 600 cc in india?
there 2 types of bikers, those who have gone down , and those who havent gone down yet,,,,,is there a website for women with harleys, i have a 79 shovelhead?
I've gone down twice. The first time I had my first bike for only a week or two. I was leaving a parking space and was giving it too much gas and let the clutch out too fast and ended up in the fender of the car next to me. No damage to the bike or myself. The second time I was approaching a red light with a right turn arrow. I was watching the traffic and not paying as much attention to the gravel covered turn lane. As I leaned into the turn, I went one direction and the bike went the other direction. No damage to myself but I spent the next month piecing my bike back together. Both times I was really PISSED. The thing to remember is that you have to get right back on the bike and keep riding. Don't get freaked and hang up your leather jacket for good. Learn from it and ride on.Which is Yamaha's best sportbike??
yeah its a bit of a learning curve isnt it.In the uk trucks have a nasty habit of dropping diesel on roundabouts.you can see it if the road is slightly damp but this time I didnt. So nrxt thing i knew was that My 650 guzzi was spinning away from me and I had hit the road with a crack on my elbow.dislocated it nicely.some twit in a van said hey your bike is in gear(well it would be you nit I was riding it!) 6 weeks of work. all the bike got was some scratches glad I put crash bars on her.regarding to harley davidson what is the difference between FL & FX?
Oh Yes!! A good few years ago i rode an 850 Norton Interstate. One journey I made was from Northern Ireland to London to see my girlfriend (now my wife). It was in November and it was just above freezing for the whole ride. I arrived at the nursing home where she lived and rode into the car park. I turned slowly into the parking bay stopped and slowly keeled over onto the grass. I was so cold that my brain was saying put your leg out to balance the bike but my muscles said bog off I'm to cold to move. All this in front of about a dozen nurses just going on duty who by the way helped to get the bike off my leg. Talk about feeling foolish. It took a long time to live it down. My girlfriend decided to tell everyone.Such is life.
will framesliders fit most motorcycles?
Oh yes three times always my fault and always too fast, 1st time 70 mph (approx) 17 years old into a ditch.Second time 50 mph(approx) 20 years old low sided on a roundabout.Third time about 90 mph 35 years old another low side on a right hander at silverstone GP circuit maybe its time i grew up? NO WAY!Hadnt crashed for years until i was over riding in india. Overtaking a bus on a narrow mountain road I hit gravel and lost the front. Landed on my hip but just bruising and that is all. I forgot how much it hurts to fall off and I was only doing like 20km/h. You should have seen how quickly a crowd forms in india (even in the mountains), all standing around wondering why there is a westerner crashing on their roads. Bike was tough so it didnt damage it so I wasnt pissed, it was all kind of funny and is a story to tell. You cant beat riding and crashing in india for putting things on a western sanitised road in perspective.
