Hi there,Money is another question too!
Good first bike, with reliability and easilt repaired if needed is a Suzuki gsf 600 Bandit.
Spares available most places and over net too, insurance pretty cheap aswell.
There is also Kawasaki er 5 and the new er6 or Honda 400 4 or Honda bros but in the end its gonna be your bike!!
Good Luck

If you want more speed and very little cost, just move up to the Ninja 250R Sport bike, they sell new for $3400. you can find a used one on Craiglist.org, for around $2500.00What is a knobby on a motocross bike?
Great bike, if you weigh less than 180 lbs. and are not taller than 5'11".
If you are bigger and taller, then move up to a Yamaha R1 750, or Suzuki Gxsr 750cc or 650cc.
Their are so many choices to choose from, go look at all of them.

A mild (and lower priced) jump would be to the Honda Rebel, nice crusier looks too! If a sport bike is your flavor the Kawasaki Ninja 250 is a sweet bike.I owned one for several years and found it to be both fast, and reliable. For a little more cash a Honda Shadow VLX is a sweet ride also, with a very smooth (and forgiving) engine, and a retail price of 5499.00 At a good dealer you should be able to grab one with a price tag near the mid to high 4000.00 range.Hope that helps...Please provide addresses of Two Wheeler Co.s for getting Dealership.?

Try a naked 400 there are some really nice imports about quite cheap.Everybody drops their bike when they are starting out so don't spend too much and get a year or so under your belt then upgrade.

It all depends on what your budget is and what style of bike you like.Honda CBF250 is a good all rounder if you are looking for a new or newer bike, or if your after something a little older try a CB/CBF500.
