Very Quick and simple.
DO NOT connect Blue wire from ENGINE to anything.
The WHITE WIRE alone from ENGINE is then jumpered to power the both Blue and White CDI BOX wires.

About a $200~300 part???,,,i dunno how much they are now.
And engine must come out of frame to do the work.
And there's other parts required to dismantle engine,,gaskets,seals,etc.
And other parts that are Coincidentally Accessible during the Stator Replacement Job which should be replaced also,,,,even they are not related to your specific prob.

Could be alot of things, for instance: is the throttle OK so that it is opening the carbs all the way, are the valves adjusted too tightly, is the airfilter plugged up, are the mufflers plugged up with rust, has the cam timing jumped a tooth?Start with a thorough tune-up, that will probably take care of it, if not it will at least narrow down the other possibilities.
Did this happen before or after you cleaned the carbs, check for plugged float bowl vents.
Check your pet cocck you maybe fuel starving as well check out geos suggestions to but start obvious and simplest
