what john said. patches on the back of ur leather are called 'colors'. a bottom rocker typically denotes territory. 1% clubs typically have a 3-tier type of patch; a top rocker, a larger patch in the middle, usually the name of the club, then a bottom rocker; typically giving a state name and location....this will be considered 'territory' to other clubs.it's highly suggested u find out who the dominant club of ur state is, and if u are able to arrange a meeting with them, be on time, NEVER lie about anything, and the top rule is, always show respect. to a biker organization, there's a big difference between the term 'rider's club', and a 'mc club'. some patched 1%'er's are very territorial, and will aggressively approach those with unfamiliar color's.
do some serious reading on the link ctpeddler provided. it could spell the difference between everything being smooth with all the local clubs around, and triggering alot of friction with 1%'er's. in the case of 1%'er's, to show disrespect is dangerous.

1st to aviod any friction with established clubs you should probably aviod using club riders alliance , asscosiation ,coop, group, any of these would work also you need to get guidance from the federation of clubs for any kind of patch you might want to wear also no rockers with location names that will be constrewd as claiming territory Im all for what you want to do I just dont want to see you in conflict with any others and if you comunicate your intentions to the other parties Im sure youll have no problemshow do i wire in a motorcycle alarm?

If you are planning to wear any kind of back patch, you will have to check with the local dominant club in the area. You may want to talk to some other riding clubs first to see what they did. Another option is to not have a back patch and just have a small front patch. If you do go the back patch route, I suggest you keep it as a 1 piece patch, check your color scheme for it carefully and do not put a territory or the phrase MC on it unless the local dominant oks it.
