the martiecalHeat it with a hair dryer. Next wipe on Goo Goo Gone and let it soak in. Then using the hair dryer and a plastic card, scrape it off.

You can try Goof-Off, but it may damage plastic. Goo Gone might be better, as it is citrus based instead of petroleum based.This depends on the plastic really. Goof Off is about the safest alone with lighter fluid.
Do not use fingernail polish remover nor acetone as these are the same and these will "melt" most plastics it comes in contact with.

WD-40. Works every time. Non-petroleum based, non-acetate based, so it won't melt plastic or remove paint like nail polish remover or lighter fluid will. Spray it on, give it ten seconds or so to soak in, then rub the gunk off. May take a few times to get it all, but it will come off.More Questions & Answers ...
