You are a long way from care-free riding. Maintaining your bike is just the tip of the iceburg. You need to learn about motorcycles in general, riding in particular. I have included a link below to a good rider's manual, but reading it won't make you proficient... its a good start however. Check in Motorcycle Safety Classes (see a link below). Learn to ride from certified pros in a relatively safe parking lot first. Now lets talk about your new bike. Have your bike professionally looked over for safety by a certified motorcycle mechanic. Truck it to the shop in a U-Haul, even if the closest mechanic is 100 miles away. Know you have a safe machine before mounting it. There you can ask questions about routine maintenance but that's still not the final answer. Get a hold of the Owner's Manual for your bike. Follow the maintenance routines and schedules recommended. Only after doing your obligatory homework and prep should you even be concidering mounting your bike. Don't skimp on safety or they'll be burying you in skimpy pine box.
I have locked my keys under the seat of my 1999 Aprilia Leonardo scooter. How can I get them out?
The best manual for maintenance/repairs on it would be a "clymers".You can get one at your nearest bike shop.If not instock, they'll order it for ya.Or you can get'em online. Good LuckDoes valentino rossi have siblings? what are their names and ages?
Change the oil and filter, now. From now on, change every 3000 miles (or three months) .Also, look for a tube with a plug in it, probably hanging down under the bike. You need to drain this tube when you change the oil (its condensation from the crankcase). Keep your tires inflated at or slightly above recommended. pressure. Change brake and clutch hydraulic fluids when it turns the color of dark beer. The coolant will need to be changed every couple of years. You should find a shop manual to give you pointers on how to do this. A shop manual will also tell you how to change brake pads and when .
Keep the bike clean.
ride safe.
