Question:
Please no buy Japanese Cruiser posts. Their over the top style is not for me.
Answers:
Is it worth upgrading to the 110 ci kit for the Harley Davidson 96ci engine?
JasonIf you live in a cooler climate, I would recommend the Heritage Classic Softail. It's a great all around bike that comes standard with saddle bags and a quick release windshield.
Now if you live in a warmer climate, I wouldn't recommend a Softail at all. The oil tank is located under the riders' seat and in the summer months it's like sitting on a fry cooker especially if you slap on a custom seat that has less padding.
In this case I would recommend a late model Dyna or FLH that has it's oil reservoir located under the transmission.
When all is said and done, it's really a personal preference. Buy what feeds your soul!
My wife rides a softtail deluxe. Great bike with the nostalgic look. But preference counts. Best bet is go to a dealership and have a good look at them all. What I do is sit on every model and style. Then I choose.
How do I remove the ignition switch from a 94gsx600?
I would recommend you visit a Harley dealer and test them all. See which feels best, after all that's the main factor. Don't buy it if it feels wrong. When I got my first Harley I tried all the Dynas and Softails. I liked the FXD best but being tall and long legged it was not fitting right. I found a used one that had forward controls and it made all the difference. It fit perfect, I bought it and I'm totally satisfied with my choice. My personal preference is the Deuce, but that said, just go to a local dealership, if you have one, and check them all out.
