Iam planning 2 buy an enfield.Should i buy an old one or a new one?
To combine the best of above, look through eBay, Cycletrader and Craigslist in your area (nearby cities). Local papers Sometimes have good deals, but in my experience it's pretty rare to find a Really good deal in the newpaper. Also start asking at every place that sells or services bikes, a lot of independent bike repair places will have a corkboard with ads.Is there any way in which a kickstart bike is better than a self-start one?
That said, you do NOT have to avoid any brand, make, model or style of bike. I'm 6'4" and have ridden, in comfort, every type of motorcycle out there. Helps that I've been a MC mechanic for some time and get to test-ride customer bikes, and potential trade-ins. It's VERY possible to buy a 'needs nothing' bike for $1000 at this time of year, even a 2000+ model. Your options open Greatly if you have some basic mechanic ability to clean carbs, do valve adjustments, replace tires/brakes/chain/belt/etc... If you don't, spend the money to have a GOOD mechanic (can be found anywhere, working out of their own home, an independednt shop or a dealership... though personal experience shows that dealerships tend not to have very high quality techs) give the bike a once over... commonly called a PrePurchase Inspection, or PPI.
Why don't motorcycles have ashtrays?
To increase the odds of you finding something you like, be prepared with a way to transport a bike (truck or trailer) from a couple hundred miles away. The last bike I bought (a quite rare 400cc sportbike) was 1700 miles round trip, but it was also $800 and in perfect/stock condition. also, consider Salvage titled bikes, they Can be good buys ~ but don't get caught up in the mess of having to get a title. Time consuming, frustrating and can be expensive.

Best of luck shopping.
What is the meaning of the word "mag" in mag wheels?
You must want a used bike>>> Get a cruiser what ever you get....What a good sport touring bike other than the hyabusa?
bargain finders place to look.Lambretta scooter riders.....?
ur only hope is cycletrader.com, the bike being metric..tho u might bump into a harley, and the bike might be a good 10 to 15 yrs old. with u being 6'3, i'd highly suggest a large cruiser, or a 'bagger'....what touring bikes are usually called. but u might have a hard time findin a bike that fits good for only a grand.Ebay or cycle trader but you're not going to find a decent bike for only a grand unless it's in the 70's or 80's
Depends on what you want to do with it. 6'2" myself. You will find newer model metric bikes cheaper than harleys. Beware of the sport bikes for someone our size. They have a small rider compartment and you will get uncomfortable very quickly if not riding very aggresively. Thinking sportbike still? Suzuki Bandit 600. They come in a 1200cc model but if its your first bike it might be a bit too much. Not as fast as a true sports bike but still fun and comfortable for more than a half hour. Find something that you aren't going to be afraid to drop. Remember, its not if but when. Don't go with the Rebel250. Great beginner bike but too small for you. You will out grow it in 6 months if you ride on a regular basis.
which is the best oil to use in my yamaha tdm 850. full or semi synthetic?
check out craigslist.com great source for all kinds of things and if you have something to sell it's free.TOO LOW RPM~~! it kills the engine! help!?
Local papers, want ads. or craigslist.I picked up a decent CB750K with a fairing, lowers, and hard bags. Genuine Vetter, not a cheap knock-off. After some minor re-assembly (put fairing and bags back on) oil and filter change, new air filter, and new tires (raped at 2hrs. shop rate for mounting) my total investment = less than $1000.00. but it's close, about 975..............
found it on craigslist.
Not sure what your experience level is, but I'd suggest one of the older Japanese standard bikes in your case. I started on a Honda CX500 that I bought for about a grand. The CX series of bikes are pretty decent for what they are, about as dependable as a $1,000 bike gets, and pretty good at accommodating taller riders.
where can i get brake bobbins for my disks on my yamaha fj 1200?
Then there are the UJM's - "Universal Japanese Motorcycles." Every one of the big Japanese companies made one, and they were all very similar. They are all pretty decent for taller riders and you can find old ones for pretty cheap. Honda has their CB series, Suzuki maked the GS's (I now ride the final incarnation of that line, the GS500F), Yamaha had the Seca, and Kawasaki had the KZ's. If you don't have much of any riding experience, I'd say stay with the ones under 700 cc's.
how do you kick start a vespa lx 150?
One other good choice would be a dual sport - basically a street legal dirt bike. These often have a riding position that lets taller guys stretch their legs, but are lightweight and easy to handle for a novice rider.
i would suggest: local paper, craigslist that's local enough for u to get an actual visual of the bike, and cycletrader.com. i would suggest also to get at the very least at 1300cc type bike if u are looking for a cruiser. a sport bike would be just too much for u to handle if u are a complete rookie to street bikes....reguardless of what people here would say, dont try to tackle a 600cc sport bike. they will kill u with the 1st mistake u make in a corner.
800 or 1200cc on a cruiser will be enough to keep up with interstate traffic, and actually, that's all u need.
how much fork oil does a gsxr600 s rad need?
rookies that disrespect the bike wind up dead. that bike is a hell of alot stronger than u. treat its power with respect, or i guarentee u, u will go down very hard.
