Question:
This will be my first bike. It will be used mostly for commuting, so comfort and mileage are important, but I also want something good looking for cruising around town. I have narrowed it down to these two. Looks wise, I prefer the Hyosung. Has anybody ridden both who can tell me the strengths and weaknesses of each?
Answers:
Bike insurance?
I'm actually planning to purchase a motorbike and have decided to get a Hyosung GT250R. I asked the same question and only received biased answers. If your have your license then take them out for a test ride and decide for yourself. Personally i think that the Hyosung by far is the best looking 250cc bike around with it's digital speedometer and all. I also have the peace of mind that if something goes wrong I'll have the 2 year warranty. With a V-twin engine it gives of a good sound at idle. Top speed is 170-180kmph. As for the Kawasaki, it does not appeal to me with it's lack of innovation for appearance. it's 2007 and they have a bike which looks like the 1995 model. We all know that you will have a reliable, well engineered and a name which everyone one knows.

Kawasaki has a well established dealer network. Parts and repairs are easy to get. I have seen the Hyosung around, but I don't know who services them.
The mad one is back?
110% in agreement here with Firecracker again on this one. Stick with a well know brand name. The Hyosung motorcycle's have not been in the US very long. The Ninja 250 has been around for decades.

If you go with a kawasaki then your mechanics will have an easier time locating parts as well as being more likely to have had experience with them.
