Question:
I've got this Suzuki TL 1000s (i've posted a few times now... not having great luck with this bike) and I recently charged the battery. For some reason I can't clamp the negative terminal onto the battery. it has a screw and a hole, but the hole is not a screw hole (it hasn't been stripped, this is a pretty new battery. it's just never been a screw hole to begin with.) So now, every time I try to start my bike, the negative terminal simply pops off of the battery, and the bike shuts down. Has anyone experienced this? is there a good fix?

there should be a nut under the screw hole... you can place one there if you do not have one. or if it is there you might have to put something under the nut to lift it just enough to start it on the screw thread....Are you sure you are putting the negative clamp and the positive clamps where they are supposed to go? Sure you havn't got it vice-versa? If that isn't the problem, take it back to see what is wrong.

There is usually a nut on the other end of the bolt. The battery holes are not threaded.Metric, unless you replaced the bolt.

i am guessing you have the wrong battery for the bike. most batteries come with a small assortment of adapter parts- maybe thats all you need. consult your manual or use a guide to verify if you have the right battery or not.More Questions & Answers ...
