Where can I buy "Leather Half Chaps" for riding motorcycles?
But be aware, I have 2 serious problems and 1 minor problem with my 2 HD's. Both were purchased used, and between the 2 of them I have racked up some 40,000 miles. Neither one has left me stranded or broken down on the side of the road. Obviously there is some factory defect in these to machines that allow them to just keep running. I had a leak in one of them once, but that was a self-inflicted primary cover gasket mistake. Imagine the horror I felt that morning I went out in the garage and found this spot about the size of a dime under the primary! What junk!
I will admit to a comfort issue the first troll / poster mentioned. The stock seat on my 96 'Dyna wasn't the most comfortable saddle I ever sat my *** on for any length of time. I put a Mustang seat on it and I would now not hesitate to ride that crappy old EVO from here to where ever I wanted to go even if it took all day. I've done 600 mile days on my other bike (FLHTCI) with stock seat and arrived at my destination tired, thirsty and hungry but not in any pain at all. Obviously another Harley flaw in the comfort department just like the first guy claims, right?
What should I be looking for when purchasing a cruiser/standard motorcycle?
Pay no attention to the Harley bashing trolls. They know not of what they speak.
Does anyone know the whereabouts of a good motorcycle auction cheers...?
a junkyard. Otherwise, they are the slowest, least reliable, least comfortable and most expensive motorcycles on the market.Suggestions for additional motorcycle lighting, LED or non-LED?
There's a magazine called "Motorcycle Trader". Try there. If you can't find anything in your price range, try the local Harley dealer; you may be able to get a good deal on one of their trade-ins.When you're going for the very best, there's no such thing as cheap.
Looking for a good 150cc motor scoter, any suggestions?
what is cheap to you?if you want one spend the money.thereare no cheap harleys.
There are NO cheap harleys.
Try www.marksmotos.com. They have a huge selection of used motorcycles
What is the solution to the vibration of the front faring of the New Hero Honda C B Z Extreme?
The least you're going to spend on an EVO era Spotster is 4500-5000. You can probably find a late 80's or early90's Softail for under 10000.I suggest local classifieds and Cycle Trader or Cycle Buys, that way you are shopping locally . I would never buy a bike on the net,I want to see it and ride it before any $$ changes hands.
Be patient, in a few weeks tax returns will start coming in and a lot of guys will upgrade to newer models ,putting the old scoots up for sale.
I'm looking for a sport bike(motorcycle) group that likes to ride, in southern Ca.?
You can get most any HD used pretty cheap now. The value of these things are pretty low. It's not like it used to be when you could consider a HD a good deal because they hold their value better. The Company is starting to flood it's OWN market now and bike are actually sitting on the floor a long time now, so the values are coming down. The dealers might even have to sell for under MSRP if this keeps up. I'd wait a year or so, I think the bottom is really ready to fall out now. Unless this strike lasts a long time. If HD doesn't get really smart really soon, it's doomed, DOOMED like Chrysler....Flat battery KTM 640 motorbike-?how to kickstart it?
Try stealing one from a Hells Angel. Look at it this way. You have no "up front" costs, and maintenance and operational costs will be very low too, with both arms and legs broken! LOLOL!you cant any harley worth having will cost u
