Can I trust a Chinese products scooters?
There's only 1... they're stiffer. For the longest time, they were MUCH heavier than conventional (like, twice the weight of conventional forks), but now days they're as light, or lighter than conventional forks.Plastic bag off chrome exhuast?
Nothing past that, but stiffness is good on those (fast or heavy) bikes that need them. The rest are just bending to what's 'popular' (like the Hyosung GT250) at the moment.

The USD forks from the GSXR1100s were the HEAVIEST forks I've ever dealt with, to the tune of 13 pounds PER LEG. Not even HD forks are that heavy (though, I have less experience with them too).

And Think for a second about the weight issue. what weights more, cast aluminium or steel? What's lower on the USD forks... steel or aluminium? USD forks have had more unsprung weight than conventional forks, but have been closing the gap with thinner materials.

Another benefit that I'd forgotten is the ease of protecting the tubes from rock dings (and thus leaky fork seals). Much eaiser with a front fender than with fork socks or plastic guards that fit to the top of the lower leg.
Another negative is the ease of the home mechanic to do their own service. Very much a more difficult process with USD forks.
