As much as I like Harley's ( for their engineering) I cant stand the pre packed biker lifestyle they try to sell with them it's pathetic. I took a friend to the Uppingham bike show last weekend ( Sycamore H-D) and she just thought she had walked into a gay pirates bash! All the blokes dressed the same, had the same beards and generally looked about as unique as a row of same colour fords. Any bike is cool, and dress how you like but take a long look before you become just another dress alike sheep! (unless being an outlaw accountant is your bag!?)Sorry hun, I prefer street fighters.

I think most bikes look pretty cool. I love trikes, particularly the 3 seater ones where your mates can cruise with you. Small framed and short men look better on a racing bike than big or tall men do in my opinion. Just as small guys look even smaller on a big harley. It depends on what you use the bike for as much as anything else. There's no point in getting a bike for looks alone, especially if it rides like a slug on blow lol! I love lots of chrome on bikes but they take a bit more upkeep, (plenty of elbow grease) and somewhere dry to store it in wet weather.Which is better Dayton Bike Week, Sturgess or Manx TT?
As for leathers. Nothing is more impressive than a bike rider who is safe as well as skilled. Good fitting, all in one leather suits look brill, particularly when teamed with a matching helmet (which in turn match the colours of the sports bike). Black two piece suits (with a zip to attach the jacket and trousers together) look great on a beefy bike like a decent harley. It doesn't really matter what colour helmet you get with an all black suit, (what doesn't work with black). Bear in mind that if you come off a motorbike it is your legs that bear the brunt of the fall, so it is important to make sure you have protective trousers to prevent your joints and bones from shattering, (so it's not wise to wear jeans alone, no matter how cool they look)! You can buy 'dragging jeans' which will prevent your skin from being burnt off if you skid along the floor but they won't protect your bones. Good fitting leathers act as a splint if you break bones and can help reduce blood loss and hold everything in the right place while you wait for help. Safety first, whatever you opt for! Some insurance and breakdown services can check and test a prospective bike for you before you buy it, to ensure it's in good repair and worth the asking price.
