On trips more than an hour you will want a sport tourer bike. If you want to ride fast and die at an early age, or at the very least end up in a wheel chair for the rest of your life, Ninjas are good. Suzuki also makes an excellent machine, but it sounds like you are going for color more so than machine. As a rider since I was 8 years old and am now 48, I suggest not getting a crotch rocket. The street isn't for racing and a friend of mine that is an ER nurse says that more bike riders come in than she can count. It saddens her greatly. Get a cruiser that you can take a comfortable ride on.
if your asking best as in most relaible and best built. then BMW or Motto Guzzi would be great choices. either one them wil last many many years. but neither one is really a ninja super bike. if your into that realm i recomend a ducati. color well that is a tough one old biker riders like my self allways said real bikes are black with crhome. but them we said real bike had 2 cylnders to.

It all depends on your riding style and what you want out of the bike. If you just want to cruise around... I would get a standard bike. If you are going to be taking the bike to the track... a GSXR 600 or 750.I have a Honda cbr 1000rr in red/black and use it for the street and track. I love it but it is a bit on the heavy side compared to the competetion.

Totally depends on the type of bike your looking to get, Harley is black on black...but any other make of bike you get will make no difference. I have a friend of mine that does some pretty awesome tricks on his Suzuki and it is totally covered in rabbit fur...I can send you pics if you like...funny stuff ever!!That's subjective to each individuals taste. Buying a sportbike based on your color preference is awfully squid... Do yourself a favor, and study v-twin or parallel twin versus in-line four motor design and the benefits of each, and chassis geometry/ergonomics, and when you think you understand those two things, go buy either the new parallel-twin Ninja 650 or a Suzuki SV650 and paint it green if that's what color you really really like... A four-cylinder Ninja is a bad choice for a brand-new rider... Honestly, you should learn on a four stroke dirt bike on an off-road closed course first.
