How does motorcyle insurance work during the cold months?
The Kankamaugus Highway, from Conway to Lincoln, then take I-93 thru Franconia Notch, then follow the signs to Twin Mountain, then thru Crawford Notch, then rte. 16 to Mt. Washington. Take the road to the summit of Mt. Washington (May-Oct., approx. dates).I like Peeks ride but I get frustrated on the Kanc with all the lumbering motorhomes. My all time numero uno is Route 100 starting at the base of Killington in VT. It is simply incredible and not as congested as the White Mountains. Also, Route 10 up through Keene is decent..good for a day trip.
SV650 or SV650S? Which would you choose...?
The Kanc. is nice. There is traffic in the summer because it's so popular. I moved up here in '70, and since then I've found that most any trip in this state is a pleasure. If you don't have a destination in mind except home at the end, the best trip is to grab a map (in case you get lost) and hit the road. All of the minor highways are very scenic. Rt. 132 would be a suggestion. Rt. 202 is popular. If you do go through the mountains, try Bear Notch Road. It's closed in winter. The license plates used to say "scenic", before they were changed.
Southwestcorner,up through keene(Great coffee joints)north to the sunapee area. All great roads away from the tourists and traffic.
Take the ferry in S.Portland,ME to Halifax,Nova Scotia.Head east, take a couple days to ride Cape Breton,Then head to New Gloucester or Prince Edward Is.Check out the Bay of Fundy on your way back to the States, then relax at Old Orchard beach for a day before going home.Ride safe!
