Is it a myth that running straight pipes will burn up valves?
there are companies that do supercharger kits for bikes ( google it) but it depends on the bike you have..... as a general rule a supercharger drags too much power to run it (eg if it produces 100 hp it will take 50 to drive it)turbo's are a better option on smaller engines and this applies to cars as well as bikes
yes it would be possible, but due to the limited size of the engines and the engine "bay" it may not be too easy to do.
For sure. Triumph make a bike with a supercharger on it. It's BIG though. I think you need a lot of HP just to turn the supercharger so it may not be a good idea on anything less than about 1400cc probably more.
Superchargers work best on high tourque motors like Harleys and other large twins. If you have a high reving multi or short stroke twin turbocharging woud be better.
Does anyone have a Yamaha Vino 125? How do you like it?
Oh yeah!A buddy of mine years ago had a belt driven supercharger on his 750 Honda chopper. The only problem was his Mikuni Carb. At freeway speeds, it drew in so much air and cooled it so much that the slide would freeze up on him. Because of that I'd recommend a butterfly carb instead, such as a S&S.
Motorcycle lowering links: Do longer links lower or raise a motorcycle?
"CAN" we use superchargers on bikes? Hell yes, there are a whole lot of people who would cheer you on if you intend to do so!! Can I help!?What do you think of the Honda CBR 600RR for begginer rider?
One of the COOLEST bikes I have ever seen was a six-cylinder Honda Valkyrie with dual superchargers.More Questions & Answers ...
