I just did this with the same bike from my daughter. Out of the crate it will do about 15 mph..if you remove the clutch restrictor, you will gain about 8-10 mph. In addition, make sure that the throttle limiter screw is out far enough to not affect travel.

There is also an exhaust baffle that can be removed to allow it to breath more freely, though just removing the ring on the clutch provided plenty more speed for right now. (All of this information is in the manual by the way. ;)

Why do people who own straight piped Harley Davidson think there bikes are fast?

First off a lot of youth atvs come with restricters...in the carb it may have a plastic piece on top of the slide keeping the carb from going wide open. You may also have a restricter plate on the exhaust,pull the exist pipe off and look for what looks like a washer. It could be in the exhaust pipe or the head of the bike. Last most cdi boxes have a rpm limiter wire you can cut thus letting the bike rev out more. You will need to ask the dealer if cutting this wire voids the warranty, you can still ask what wire to cut, after the warranty is over cut it. If you have no limiters on your atv you will have to add a pipe and re-jet. Different sprocket combo might help if the quad has the power to pull it at speed.
