where do you even start to find a turbo for a 2001 yamaha r1?
I'm afraid I'll have to cry BS to both of the guys above. If you have the physical stature to sit on the bike and put your feet on the ground, you can handle the bike. There's even at least one aftermarket company making retractable 'landing gear' for it that mounts underneath the bags. At very slow speeds and while the machine is stopped they go down so that the rider doesn't even take their feet off the boards. Then once the bike is in motion they retract back up out of the way.Why does my little kawasaki ninja 250 set off car alarms?
It is one of the most well balanced, well thought out and easy to ride bikes built. It is predictable, confidence inspiring and won't do anything that will surprise you. The brake equalizer would help the novice brake more efficiently and safely, and ABS equipped one even more so.
What tips do you have for a new scooter rider? I'm looking at getting a Honda Metroplitan.?
If the rider takes the MSF riders course and feels confident, then straddles a 'Wing and isn't intimidated there's no reason he/she couldn't handle the bike.
what is the best dirt bike for a first time girl rider?

are LED brake lights legal for motorcycles?
The problem with your remarks about me is that I am not a Honda dealer. I couldn't sell anyone a 'Wing. But simply by reading your remarks concerning one I can only assume that you've never ridden one.
recommendation for a beginner dirtbike?
The 1800 is one of the sweetest handling, most stable and best all around bikes on the market today and a hell of a long way from an "800lb bike that handles like a wheelbarrow full of rocks at low speed."
What sort of fuel economy should I expect from a Speedfight 100?
Your comment, "One last thing to think of and that is inertia. You get those big bikes rolling and those heavy wheels spinning and they don't want to lean, it take quite a bit of muscle to carve corners with an 800 lb bike. The lighter you are, the more difficult it is to change directions." I'll take exception with as well. The vehicles weight in motion has more effect on braking than turning, and the 1800 has excellent brakes.
what kind of chopper is in the end pulp fiction?
Turning a bike in motion is a simple matter really, not difficult at all. Ever hear of countersteering? The next time you go riding try this, going into a left turn simply give the left handlebar the slightest bit of input. The bike will lean to the left and turn with no other input. It works just as well at 15 mph as it does at 150 mph. The riders strength and physical stature has absolutely nothing to do with it. Looks like a rider and racer of your vast experiance would know about that. That technique is taught in the MSF basic riders course BTW...
But please, don't take my word for it. Come on over to one of our local riding spots. A place in the Smokey mountains called The Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap, NC. It's officially called US129. This piece of road has 318 turns in 11 miles. ( http://www.tailofthedragon.com/... ) There's a guy we call Yellow Wolf that will be glad to film your run by following you on his Yellow 1800. He's one of the best on the mountain and embarrasses loudmouths every week-end. ( http://www.yellowwolfvideos.com/... )
can any body tell me where to get cheap shocks for my Honda hornet 600?
As for all your drivel about pebbles under your feet, ect. Good grief man. If that were as big a problem as you make it out to be none of us would be riding anything bigger than scooters and mopeds. You'd think a 'rider' with all your 'experiance' would know that.
what size fuse does a suzuki gs850 need for the lights?
I will say that I'll have to agree with you that too many dealers don't ride. But that isn't the case here. My 'pedigree' is at least as good as yours and I have more racing time than you claim to have.
I am a shorter guy and interested in buying a harley davidson ... will i have a problem being short?
I'm not a 'used car salesman' type of business man, and unfortunately my bottom line reflects that. In fact I have refused to sell sport bikes to inexperianced & immature riders.
I am 17 years old and am ready to purchase my first motorcycle.?
We donate bikes every year to the local MSF rider training people, and allow a local ATV training folks to use our property for thier classes. We've even ponied up some ATV's when they were needed. We also sponsor a local hare scramble series and help local racers out with discounts on parts, accessories and bikes.
Quite simply, my staff and I love the sport, and the riders that make it what it is.

Nope. You first have to get it through your head that when you're at a stop light, the motorcycle must be kept vertical! The bigger the motorcycle, the more important that is.Woman wearing mens motorcycle boots??
thats a lot of bike for a beginner, very heavy i would start riding something smaller first especially if you have never ridden before, the old rule was if you cant lay it on its side and pick it back up its too big for youwhere would i buy a fox tail for a vespa scooter?
anyone can keep a bike up at 60 mph. the real trick is to keep the same bike up at 4mph with the feet on the pegs. with just a little bit of practice, that part is easily mastered.even a noob could ride a wing as long as he stays in his skill level and not try to blast 50mph into a 30mph corner until he gets a solid feel for the bike. ridin a wing at slow speed would be easy since they have low center of gravity. and picking up a big tourer that weighs in at 850 pounds is easy after u know the technique.

how to set the timing on a kawasaki kx100 2001 model?
You probably can, but it's awfully expensive to take the chance with.Which is sexier? guys on sport bikes or guys on harley's?
No, unlike driving a car, riding a motorcycle is much more difficult. Even an experienced rider if they have a smaller frame will have a lot of trouble riding an 800lb bike that handles like a wheelbarrow full of rocks at low speed. The great things about bikes though are that they make all types for all types of riders. Bigger displacement is not necessarily faster, more powerful or "cooler".why do chain driven bikes have so much play in the chain?
I had to come back and add a couple of more items after reading what 10/30 had to say. I have been riding since I was 8 and am almost 55 now. I have ridden literally hundreds of bikes of all shapes and sizes. I raced off and on for 14 years and have only had two accidents on the street; one I was sitting at a stop sign and had an idiot talking on his cell phone run into the back of me. Anyway, the sitting on the seat and touching the ground flat footed is a myth. Only about 1 in 10 BMW riders can do that and they are the safest bike on the road (by accident statistics). A small pebble under your foot at a stop sign or an ill-placed pothole can ruin your day. You need a bike that you do not feel overwhelmed on. If you can't lean that puppy 15 degrees and recover, forget it. This is one of the reasons that Harleys have such a god awful record. They sit low and people think that just because they can touch the ground they're good to go. They are a top-heavy bike and with just a little "off balance" action over you will go. The Honda is like that in spades. Most dealers that I have known and know do not ride just as most bar owners do not drink and salesmen will tell you anything to sell a bike, the more expensive the better. Not that I'm suggesting 10/30 would do that. No matter what you riding experience level or size, do not get a bike that feels ungainly to you, you will regret it. One last thing to think of and that is inertia. You get those big bikes rolling and those heavy wheels spinning and they don't want to lean, it take quite a bit of muscle to carve corners with an 800 lb bike. The lighter you are, the more difficult it is to change directions.
I am 16. Is it illegal to derestrict my moped or does it have to stay at 30mph?
Be careful listening to barroom BS.
Which is the best bike of the 2006 in 150cc & above? In which colour?
Pcpy is full of it I know small women that are 125 # and ride wings and as far as handling they are a dream better that being bunched up or having to lay down to ride. I also have been riding since the age of 16 first bike Indian Scout second Indian Chief am now 67 and ride a wing. Look at link below then tell if you can lean a wing and recover. You need to know how to ride safely and have some experience, and a 1800 wing is an expensive bike to start with. If I was just starting to ride I wouldn't want to start with a 1800 wing. RIDE SAFELYdid billy lane die?? someone said he did.?
Yes, yes, yes! All you need is confidence and you can do it.More Questions & Answers ...
