I asked this question a couple of months ago, and it was removed without any notification. So I'm not sure why. It spawned other questions that still exist. They are a very Non-Political group, who's primary objective is helping people. This is probably supposed to be in another category, but I have found more people I like and repect in this one, Do you know who they are?

Patriot Guard Riders are a great group of people who took to "guarding" the families who were burying a person who had been killed in combat.Looking at purchacing a new or used scooter with an automatic transmition this spring. Suggestions?
There were protesters who actually would go to the site of the funeral to protest the war! Imagine, you have a grieving family burying a loved one and these insensitive creeps show up to add to the misery the family is already feeling.
What is a good Starter Speed bike.?
There were no laws against the protesting so some guys with good intentions asked the family if they would like an escort and some protection from the protesters. If the family agreed the PGR guys would show up on their bikes with American flags waving and form a defensive perimeter to keep the protesters away from the family. They only go if they are asked.

Question about Harley Davidson Motorcycle?
i'll drive or ride in anything that works! has breaks sealed chamber from the engion and runs properly and has shocks man dose my bottem hurt from my custom go kart with out shocks. Pot holes stinkFirecracker, I'm a Patriot Guard Rider. I joined in Dec. 2005. I didn't get the opportunity to go on a mission until 2/06. I've been to the funerals with the UG's present, send-offs & welcome home rides. I've got a copy of the PGR Mission Statement in my office on corkboard pinned up by several Mission Accomplished pins.

Interesting -- didn't know such a group existed. It's sad that the state of education in this country is such that for some it's reasonable to target protests at people who are told what to do. That's protesting the soldier's act of enlisting, not the conflict of the year as the protestors might think.Which bike is overall good to buy?honda unicorn or tvs apache and in what way?
I don't ride with, but I know who they are and I think they are awesome! But what else do you expect, they are bikers!As far as getting removed, well there are lots of good things being removed from america these days,I can't believe they have not removed "In God We Trust" from our money...yet. Patriot Guard Riders began at the American Legion Post in Mulvane, KS as a way to combat, specifically, the "Reverend" Fred Phelps and his church members from Topeka. These misguided "Christians" began protesting at military funerals of soldiers KIA in Iraq. Their premise was, and still is, that these soldiers lost their lives because God is mad at the military for allowing gays in the service of our country.I joined the PGR in 2006 and have only had the privilege of riding one mission, but as time goes by, I anticipate many more. At last count, the PGR has over 65,000 members, nationwide. We use non-violent means to support the families of those lost in America's war on terror and place ourselves between protesters and the funeral. Ride safe...Kenny ;o)
