i have a 2000 mille myself and i have found that my bikes shifts better with castrol r4 5/40 superbike oil i have 36000 miles on this bike still running strong i have changed the oil and filter every 2500 milesI use mobil 1 fully synthetic for v twins and haven't had any problems for 6 years. good luck

Use only the oil recomended by your manufacturer. Check with Aprilia and the will give the details of the oil they specify , then you can use any brand that has that spec.learning to ride a motorbike in the UK?
Do not compromise or use non specified oils , they can and will damage you engine over time which leads to higher costs for reapirs and servicing.
Do not forget to change the oil filter especially if you are using a new brand or type of oil.
