About ten years ago Honda made the VT1100 ACE (American Classic Edition) which was definately retro and also introduced the cb750 nighthawk, again as a retro bike (both inexpensive although not fuel injected). There are presently alot of good bikes on the market, just pick the one you like the looks of, you can go wrong mechanically.
