i have yamaha bansse iwant know whatkind oil its the best for gas?
Yes if an engine (any engine big or small) didn't have a flywheel then the engine wouldn't run. Imagine the piston is at the top of the cylinder and the spark fires and the piston is pushed down at the bottom of the stroke the piston would stop because all the energy produced has gone. The flywheel stores energy. Thus when the piston is at the bottom of the stroke the energy in the flywheel pushes the piston onto the next stroke to pump out the exhaust gasses and suck in the next batch of fuel/air mix. One of your other repliers was right in that to get an engine to respond quicker as in acceleration a lighter flywheel is needed. Ever wondered why a large diesel engine trucks can tick over at very low rev-es and still pull away without stalling, BIG Flywheels = lots of stored energy. Another example listen to the tick over between a Harley Davison and a Moped Which do you think has th bigger flywheel.Have fun.
Depends on the bike, my BMW has one for the dry clutch and starter ring, it also runs the alternator, oil and water pumps, depends on the bike designer.
How much HP does a 07 Rhino 660 Have?
A fly wheel is what engages the engine to the transmission through the clutch. So probably not. What is the site for Suzuki motorcycles dealerships in the UK?
Now a days it will be more stylish and will attract girls on your side for being stylishIf you are talking dirt bikes, yes. An enduro or trail bike needs a heavy flywheel for slower speeds. Most racing bikes have a very light flywheel to get the rpm's up quicker.
I have a 2004 V-Star 650. why do I have to take the pipes off to change the oil?
I have to disagree with F650. I have a Ducati 748 Superbike. I have removed the flywheel and my bike runs perfectly fine. No idle issues. No stalling. The advantage of a lighter flywheel or lack of flywheel means it allows the motor to spin up faster. The RPMs increase due to less rotational mass. Decreased rotating mass is a "seat of the pants" felling. Its not something you can quatify by a Dyno. Lighter flywheel will not increase the bikes HP.Most motorcycles have enough rotating mass from the crank to keep the motor running smooth. So A lighter flywheel is a inexpensive performance upgrade.
Based off my knowledge of Ducati L Twins. The performance may be different on a Japanese inline 4s'.
