I believe the Harley will remain popular, as long as there are middle-age folks who get the jones to go out and see the world on two wheels for the first time.
I think that at some point soon, the 'Harley Craze' will taper off, availability and price will get back to more normal rates, but there will always be a core group looking to scratch an itch they feel only Harley can fill.

Harley is not a fad, sport bikes are fads they will disappear long before Harley Davidson. Sport bikes are popular nowadays with girls, this will soon stop. I'm a "boomer" and I plan on riding my Harley until I die. Harley is popular with all generations. If someone continues to ride a motorcycle eventually they will end up on a Harley.
