if you maintain it and take care of it then it should last for as long as you need it to...one of my friends got a Honda CH125 scooter that is over 20 yrs old now and still runs fine. Its even been ridden offroad and taken off some pretty decent sized jumps and still runs as solid as it did the day they got it. Just change the oil once and a while and make sure the air filter is clean and that thing run forever...I live in SE Asia; there are zillions of them on the road here. I've rented a few with 50 000 miles that ran fine. Even if it does need a rebuild, so what? It's an air-cooled single that only costs a couple hundred to rebuild.
BTW you will only hit 70 mph downhill with a tailwind. 50 mph is more realistic.

Well, first, I think you're a little optimistic about going 70 mph. I have a Vino 125, and it tops off at about 50-55mph, and really, that's probably as fast as you would want to go. I do get 70 mpg, however. And that's great.I just got some riding boots and i cant hardly shift?
As for how many miles, the other answers are right, they can last forever. Scooters tend to be pretty simple, and pretty inexpensive, so you (or some mechanic) can keep it going for a long time by replacing parts when needed.
Not long, because if you're going 70 on that thing, you've probably just driven off a cliff.
