That's not an overly complicated procedure.If you don't have access to a shop manual (or aftermarket repair manual) I would stop by your nearest Harley shop and take a look at the configuration in person. Take a camera for reference shots.
It is the type of thing that only fits on the bike in one way that is best. When you took the old one off I'm guessing you forgot to mark the cable location.
A little trying and you should be able to figure it out without the shops help.
