The Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 is a excellent Bike if u love power like i do but it runs about 11 grand or more.my little brother has Kawasaki Z1000 it 4 stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve, 4-cylinder i could on about bikes because they are my passion i have 4 Older brothers and we all ride. Have you seen the new Concours 14 mad power.Engine and Frame Number Are Different?
Get a v*. Very nice bike and ride. How can I keep my visor on my helmet clear when its raining?
that will get you a used soft tail or Dyna glide..sportsters are a lot of fun to ride, you could buy a new one
What is a good affordable brand of motocross helmet?
Go to E-BAY MOTORS and look around until you have some idea what you like. Don't buy, just look. Lots of bikes there. How do i take the tips off of my handlebar if the screws are rusted...any special way to do that.?
As others say, shop around. Then buy a $2000 bike for the first year, and get good at riding. Meantime, look at every bike that's in your range. An 1100 is a lot to start on. It's do-able, but it's high-risk.
If i have a motorcycle and I drop it will my insurance cover the repairs?
Sounds like you want a harley. Best source would be a bike trader magazine or the net. STAY AWAY from any scoots in the chicago area, most are stolen putts with bad paper. Best areas to seek would be upstate NY, they have too short a riding season and that keeps the asking price low. Avoid any harleys made during the AMF ownership era, roughly '74 thru 80 something. best thing to do is to PLAN to rebuild,,not expect to turnkey and ride. You can get seriously hurt attempting to ride what you do not understand. I suggest looking for those older harleys, and planning to have the engine re-done and the bike gone over by a good scooter shop,NOT a harley dealer shop.Harley shops prefer to work on new bikes,,do $200 oil changes, and virtually refust to work on older scoots. As much as possible,,learn to do your own wrenching after the re-build, your own oil changes and maintainance. Immediately order a service manual from the dealer for whatever putt you buy. My primary suggestion is that you refuse ANY scoot with electronic ignition, focusing on older "points" fired bikes,,then replace the points with a breakerless ignition,, roughly $100 or so, and when you get it properly timed,, you are on forever. I also suggest that you focus on scoots that have just a kick-starter,,or at least , electric AND kick available. That way,, if your battery gets low,,or the starter moter gets tired,,, you can still get it running with the kick. I will tell you that learning the care and feeding of a pre-AMF harley that you designed to your satisfaction and comfort is miles ahead of the instant "weekend bikers" cellphone and tow-truck folks that trailer their scoots to within a mile of where they are going.Botom line,, You can get a complete older harley ,usually running, for around $2500 to $5000, tops,, spend $2000-$3000 redoing it right,, and have a hottt, head-turning ground pounder with open pipes that ALWAYS turns heads,,,ESPECIALLY if you can stay completely away from ANY electric starter.Out of these four 1000cc bikes, which is the best OVERALL bike?
The term 'Rice burner' is so outdated. It also insults Asians.I am not Asian, but if I were, that would hurt my feelings. People should stop using that term.
What are the laws for dirt bike riding? If any?
They don't call Harley riders 'Big Mac digesters' or their bikes 'dinosaur burners'. So why the mean insults to Asians?
Buy an early CB750 and fix it up nice. Its all you ever need and you can use the rest of the money for more pressing needs. Harley will take your money and leave you broke.
A GS850, or 1000 will run forever, as will the CB750. Goldwings as well, run forever. You can own a nice goldwing, and ride it 200,000 miles, for less then 1/2 the price of an HD. If you bought a 76 CB750 and rode it 3 yrs you would get all your money back. Harley durability only exists in the minds of those that struggle to keep them running.

no rice burner so you're very limited on either HD or buell or something like that. With 8 grand to spend you could find a nice HD even one in the 2000 year range. Sportsters are nice bikes and don't cost much I like the dyna glide it's a very nice HD bike for the money.for $8k your either going to get a old Harley or a used 1200 sportseter.
