Some people mention that they dropped their bike. I can understand there would be scratches and stuff on it. But any other damages or problems with the motorcycle. Is it really such a big deal or it's just blown out of proportion?

Other than complete embarrassment if it's a zero-speed drop...a lot could happen depending on the bike. Cruiser bikes usually fair the best with some minor scratches, but sport bikes will possibly be scraping some paint & fiberglass bodywork.
