Some people mention that they dropped their bike. I can understand there would be scratches and stuff on it. But any other damages or problems with the motorcycle. Is it really such a big deal or it's just blown out of proportion?

Other than complete embarrassment if it's a zero-speed drop...a lot could happen depending on the bike. It's mostly a pride issue. But for those buying a late model bike they will often want to find one that hasn't lost its 'virginity'. You can't do any serious damage to ANY bike dropping it at 0 km/h: even BMWs are tougher than that. But you can certainly do a lot of expensive cosmetic damage if the bike's never been down.
