I have a yamaha xv250 s virago thats speedo is in KPH.
can this be converted to MPH?? How and where??
i've found a few digital conversions for sports bikes. but mine aint digital.

I can't tell you where but what they do with imported cars is just get a new dial put in.
The needle doesn't get changed or any of the ancillaries, just a cardboard dial in MPH is put over the old one. Simple really.

do a google search, you need a little device that goes between the end of the speedo cable and the speedo drice in the front wheel.Are Vespas and Scooters harder to drive with the smaller wheels?
Hi. have a look on eBay to find out if anyone is selling parts for your make and model bike, sometime you can get some good deals on spare parts including speedo's.Get one in mph from a bike junkyard. The mph one is the same other than markings and will bolt right on.

You could mark it up yourself. The conversion from kph to mph is easy (kph / 8) * 5 e.g.48kph = 30 mph
64kph = 40mph
80kph = 50mph
96kph = 60mph
112kph = 70mph

my zx9-r had kph i went to kawasaki and bought a tacho sticker with miles on it, stuck it to clock face (vosa says it has to be under the tacho needle) the sticker fitted exactly and the bike passed cost was 1.50
