Honestly, the KLR 650 hasn't changed very much at all over its entire lifespan. It's been a pretty solid bike from the start and they haven't messed with the design much at all. I don't think changes to the 2008 are going to be that much of a derivation.Looks like it's going to be basically the same except there’s improved throttle response from a new throttle position sensor and revised ignition mapping, and revised cam timing that contributes to improved high-rpm performance. A redesigned cylinder head boasts new intake porting for greater low-end torque and quicker throttle response in city traffic, as well as improved top-end power for high-speed cruising on the open road. Also a little bit better suspension (or so they claim even though they reduced the travel on both front and rear over an inch) and brakes and a new look (new headlight/fairing)...I wish they would make a good all new 400cc KLR that would out perform Suzuki's DRZ400...
