Ive gotten my bike license and im currently surveying good deals on used ferring bikes (not over 200cc).
I am aiming for NSR 150 SP.
However ive not been getting much support from MOST family and friends as they feel that girls are better off with gileras and those scooter bikes. Reason being, it looks more feminine / pleasant. My gf is very supportive though and she feels that it's all up to the individual's taste.
Can anyone help me register for the bike. Can not find site.?
Nonetheless, im sticking to my decision as i know what i want and why i want it. Mostly it is for speed. But i still want to know your opinions on this. Do u think it is ugly for girls to ride on small ferring bikes.

lol...of course that isnt the case for females who r riding bikes exceeding 400cc. Most people think that it is hot. Funny isnt it how beauty can be so subjective.

If you have never ridden before, or have limited experience, I would recommend that you start with a smaller bike. Maybe not as small as the bike that you are looking at, but not as large as today's 600's. I started out on a 350 and then jumped to an 1100 back in 1988. That was a HUGE difference, but by today's standards, the current 600's would leave my old 1100 in the weeds.I have seen quite a few riders go out and buy the biggest thing that they can afford and get into trouble. The problem with today's pocket rockets is that they instill a false sense of the riders abilities. You will push the bike to it's limits, far exceeding your own..
Any way that you go, I applaud your desire to ride! Always wear a helmet, a jacket, and never underestimate your machine or overestimate your abilities.. Having a solid respect for your machine and always thinking that no one sees you will keep you safe. Just remember to keep the shiny side up and the oily side down..

Scooters are OK around town, but not safe anywhere else. The wheels are too small. I think you mean "fairing" which is a windscreen. You've gotten your licence so you know how to ride, so go with the Honda. Do guys look silly riding them? No, so why would you? Test ride what you can. That will give you a better idea than anything. Also, take a riders safety course. It is the single most important thing you can do to protect yourself. A helmet won't do a thing to save you if you're crushed by a cager. Not trying to scare you, its just a fact of riding.anyone know how to time the gears on a CRF250R Honda?

I am a female rider that sells Yamaha motorcycles and Genuine scooters for a living. I can tell you that many women start on scooters to gain confidence and then move up to a bike. Are you comfortable shifting or would you rather have an automatic? Most scooters will be automatics and you'll be shifting on a bike. You can modify a scooter to make it fast(er) so speed can be achieved on either.Both are equally dangerous--there is no such thing as a "safer" two-wheeled vehicle.
As for myself, I took the motorcycle safety course first and then bought a Suzuki GS500E, which was a fantastic beginner bike.
Buy what you feel most comfortable and confident on. You don't want to (and shouldn't) feel intimidated by riding.
Take the safety course.
Wear a helmet.

Go big girl. you can find some nice 600's that are small in size but have lots of power.i took the motorcycle safety course and started on the honda 600 VLX. i knew other females that started on the 250's and they just got frustrated and ended up moving to a larger bike within 6 months. i love my VLX. dependable and never left behind.

Take MS course (if you haven't already), they start you on 250cc which is would be plenty enough for you at the start and to enjoy the ride. There are plenty of used 250cc models from all manufacturesHonda Nighthawk 250
