I want to know how to make an Royal Enfield 350cc a performance bike?

I know an enfield is not made like mordern bikes. But i would still like to know how to customise it to make it a performance driven bike. For example, faster pickup, higher top speed, better braking, refined engine etc. Does any one think its possible? And how?
