Question:
I was wondering if this bike a good starting motorcycle. It's 599cc and I have never rode a motorcycle before (except on a MSF rider safety course) I have my license and I'm wondering if this is a good starting out bike.
Answers:
It would be OK for your height, but anyone with half a brain will still tell you to buy a used bike, like an SV650, and learn to ride first. MSF courses are great, but they only give you the bare minimum needed to operate a motorcycle.
Cruiser riders, what kind of helmet do you wear?
Go get a book titled "Proficient Motorcycling" and read it through twice. It is full of things that will save your life, and is something every motorcyclist should read.
How does it feel to you?
Have you ridden it much?
I need help i have only 60 dollars?
My motorcycle fits me like a glove! It's just a Honda CM450E but I'm only 5'7" and a chick.
This is a personal preferance thing. If it gets along with you then it's the right bike. Too bad you could not ask your rider safety guy about it. He might give the best advice.
Great class eh? :0)
Has anyone had problems with their yz250f or heard of any?
It might not be a good choice for someone of your height. What factors are there when determining motorcycle jacket size?
I considered this bike myself, and I'm 5'3. I was able to reach the ground pretty well, so the seat height is likely 28-29". That might be a bit low for you, and since you can't really add highway pegs, you might be a bit cramped.
Motorcycle Top Speed Problems?
Most sport bikes have a seat height of at least 30" so just about any other one will be a good choice. I can't make any personal recommendations though - I do know the ZZR is, shall we say, a less radical bike so in that sense it's a much better choice than the other 600's.
How can you make your pocket bike super fast?
Perhaps a 650 - I believe Yamaha makes one, and now Kawi does too. They too seem to be less race ready, but might have a higher seat for your leg comfort.
ya... go for it
