Question:
When you park in a disc parking zone (in case some people don't know), you set the arrival time on the cardboard clock and leave it on your dashboard. Then you need to get back to your car within the time limit of the zone and drive off (or you may get a parking ticket.
So how does it work for a motorbike? If it's the same idea, do they have a waterproof clock? Can't someone just move the time for a laugh?
How do you keep your motorbike in mint condition?
Just thought of it when I drove passed a bloke parking his bike in a disc zone.

How many miles can you get out of a honda shadow ace 750cc fuel tank?
The best thing about a bike is the fact that parking is always free (and tax is well cheap) motorcycles therefore are exempt from this rule !!In Texas, can a dirt bike be ridden on a residential street?
you ask a very good question and i have to say that I am not really sure of the answer.I do know that some councils such as Scarborough will still give you a ticket even if you are from out of town and have used your own local parking disc.looking at this more broadly though many councils exceed their powers in the eyes of the law and many parking restrictions are ill thought out and incorrectly signed ( As per the requirements of the 1992 Road traffic Act).I feel that the motorcycle scenario is a good example.I personally would leave a disc on the bike(say the seat) and if it got pinched or disappeared I would go to court and show how ridiculous the situation is.It might well be worth ringing the council and asking what motorcyclists should do.
Need help figuring out motorcycle brand name?
Well, if you park in a car park or a parking zone that requires car drivers to buy tickets, motorcycles are usually exempt. The same goes for parking meter zones.I'd guess motorbikes are also exempt in parking disc zones, too.
But it's best to check with the local authority, just to be sure...
to be honest im not sure but id guess that no matter wot time u set it at a warden shud take note of wot time he first sees the bike and calculate the time visited when he returns
Where can I find a set of clutch plates for a 1958 Harley-Davidson Panhead?

Can i charge a new yuasa motorcycle battery with a 2 amp charger?
Motorcycles are usually exempt from the need to display the clock, for just that reason. Wardens or whatever they're called now take note of the time they see a vehicle, so when they see it again maybe 2+ hours later (or whatever the time limit is) they know it's been there too long.More Questions & Answers ...
