As-Is,,,the engines are tuned to produce peak power at very modest RPM---much lower RPM than the engine will run in High Gear with stock gearing.

Having said that, u can further improve the performance by rejetting the carbs, changing performance exhaust, sparkplugs and air-intake... which will also increase the fuel consumption.

Go with trading in to a newer 125cc two stroke. If that is not a good option then get ANYTHING that is 95 or newer.
