2004 Harley Roadking speedo shorts, when I turn on high beams?
Either get sleeves for the bored out barrels or get a replacement barrel from a breakers. Replacement is the better bet. New pistons/rings too. You might be better negotiating a deal with a breakers to get a 2nd hand original engine.I don't know this particular bike but 95% of bike engines run a separate barrel unlike most car engines and most engine size increases are done by increasing the bore not the stroke.
Roadracing motorcycling vs. Formula 1?
Based on those assumptions.
If the cases haven't been bored out to take the larger bore barel then it's a simple case of fitting a standard barel and piston.
If the cases are bored you'd have to get the barrel sleeved to make it a smaller bore and fit a standard piston.
Why do you need it back to a 125 ? If there is no proof that it's a 185 could you just keep quiet about it ?
U will have to change the liner if u wanna downsize the capacity. Most likely u will also have to change the piston rings or the pistons too plus a re-tunning of the carbs... which I feel its not economical - paying the money to reduce the power!
buying stock cylinder, piston, and rings would probably be the simplist solution. replacing wrist pin needle bearing and circlips would be a good idea too, while your at it. why would you want to reduce the displacement anyway-mo is betta.
What size chain does a 1974 yamaha enduro 80 dirt bike take and where could I get one?
Only by buying a new cylinder barrel and piston. Probably need a carb too.Does anyone reccomend a good motorcycle towing service?
dont no the anser but ive got a standard 125 engine i would swap for your bored out one bootsalepaul@yahoo.co.ukIs a kawasaki ninja 250 a good beginner bike im 6'2' 185 pounds would this work for me?
Buy a 125 piston and check the diameter. Next check the diameter on you 185 piston. Wrap enough duct tape around the 125 piston till its the same size as the 185. Reinstall the 125 piston. Now your back to a 125.Where can someone look up & order aftermarket parts w/ microfiche drawings for Yamaha?
replace the barrel with the proper one. its your best bet and it wont cost an arm and a leg. youll have to replace the piston and rings aswell. id leave it as it is if i were you. theres no way to tell from the outside that it has been rebored. if its a licence thing leave it as is and say nothing.it wont cost you a penny.Any information about the ZZR 600?
Someone mentioned you would need different carb for the smaller cylinder. I put 350cc cylinders on as replacement for 250 Yamaha LC. only the mainjets needed changed.More Questions & Answers ...
